PhD student David Bakhshinyan stepped into the boxing ring to raise funds and awareness for research on aggressive childhood brain cancer. He participated in the KO for KIDS Charity Event in Niagara Falls, which raised more than $100,000 for Pathstone foundation for teen mental health, BoxRun charitable foundation for Ronald McDonald House, and childhood cancer research at McMaster University.

Undergraduate student Ashley Adile made a video discussing clinical trials in a very un-clinical way, which was highlighted by Clinical Trials Ontario. Having started as a class project, the video has been well received by brain cancer patients, families, and the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada.
